Ashton Logan Real Estate Company
(School Assigned Project)
Full-service real estate solutions for the "one percent".

Ashton Logan’s unique and transparent approach is what sets it apart in a rather competitive industry. By providing homeowners services which take care of  nuisances such as tedious paperwork, the minutiae that comes with finding people interested in their properties, financial, and a myriad of other aspects of selling a second home and often discourage said homeowners, they’re able to position themselves far ahead of the competition. Further, by expanding into Virginia, being able to hit the ground running with promotional material will not only give make said expansion easier, but it will allow them to establish a client base and get their name out here at a much faster rate. Additionally, their commitment to charity as evident with their involvement with local humane society chapters, they furthermore cement their place as a caring, reliable company.

My goal is to tie business to design and express the quality of the Ashton Logan Real Estate Brand through a new visual identity. I will do this first by using the demographics found in both the brief and supplemental research posted by my peer Leah Phone. Ms. Phone states that, according to the two articles she read, of the two possible factions which might own more than one home (real estate developers and rental property owners,) Ashton Logan’s target demographic are rental property owners. Additionally, she states that the National Association of Realtors finds those who are rental property owners are 45 and older, have the highest tier of expendable income at over $100,000 annually, are predominantly Caucasian, and heterosexual couples with children under 18. With that in mind, as well as the grievances Sarah had as far as the legibility of the lettering, I plan on focusing primarily on the feeling of reliability she made paramount during the mock-terview which we were presented. By looking at logos which people associate with trust, honor, and reliability such as those used by GE, Chase Bank, and Geico and using blue as the dominant color, I feel as though I can create something which stands out, and really brings their company to life.

Further, my research will focus primarily on Candy Swick, & Co’s as well as Michael Saunders, & Company’s websites, which will allow me to find said websites’ strengths and weaknesses, and build from that both a website and logo for Ashton Logan that would work in both Virginia and Florida’s real estate markets.
